Quick plug because I love love love this product.
Our trainer introduced us to Oma's Pride dehydrated treats at our second lesson. Loki is in love with these treats and will do just about anything to score a piece of chicken heart. As I mentioned in the last post about agility, I never thought I'd be okay with walking around all day with chicken hearts in my pocket. They don't even feel or smell like chicken hearts! Actually, the best part about them is that they don't cause any sort of belly upsets during the day which means no more farting in my face!
Okay, well. Update on agility. We've conquered every piece of equipment but the doggie walk. Loki has been decent off leash considering the abundance of horse poop all along the side of the barn. The stallion seems to either be really fond of Loki or really just wants to protect his hay. I swear, I've never seen such expressive faces from a horse before.
Loki hasn't picked up on the concept of patterns yet. Oh well. We tried getting him to do a jump then the tunnel, but that didn't work out too well. Most likely because I kept yelling "come'ere Loki!" while he was midway through, causing him to somehow turn around inside the tunnel and coming back to the entrance.
I swear. I don't know who's getting trained here. Me or Loki.
